Join the Eating with the Ecosystem Board of Directors

 Dear Friend of Eating with the Ecosystem, 

 Do you love New England seafood?  Are you passionate about supporting your local food system?  Eating with the Ecosystem has openings for new board members in 2023 and we invite you to consider joining our all-volunteer board of directors.  Candidates with experience in food equity and in serving minority communities in New England are especially encouraged to apply. 

 Our mission is to promote a place-based approach to sustaining New England’s wild seafood. Over the last few years our organization has evolved and expanded our participation in our region’s food and research communities.  It is crucial to continue building on our organization’s capacity to work not only in the seafood sustainability space but also in the food equity and social justice space to help make New England’s local seafood industry a model of community engagement in a sustainable seafood system.    

 Even before the the pandemic, our monthly board meetings were completed by Google Meets, due to the geographic range of our current board members. We will continue to meet virtually except for gathering once or twice annually for events such as our Annual Community Seafood Dinner. 

 We invite individuals from all over New England who are interested in joining our Board to please complete an application at this link by April 17th. Please tell us about yourself, why you are passionate about our mission, and share what you can bring to our team. A resume or CV is helpful, but optional.
